[V8] The "V8 AFFECT"

My 2 cents on lowering:
I bought my car that had the similar treatment. It came with green H&R
springs (approx 1.75" - 2" lower), 17" wheels, and 235/45 tires. It handled
very nicely but it didn't take the bumps or even the worn pavement
(especially the concrete sections of I405 going through Bellevue WA) very
well.
I recently replace the shocks with Monroe special editions (my mechanic
wondered if Boge made them for Monroe). The shocks that were replaced were
evidently the originals, I could compress/decompress them with my hands.
Now I do notice a difference handling wise, but still not any where near a
stock ride especially over the bumps and rougher roads. I'm beginning to
think the 17's with stock springs might be the answer.

Or maybe an additional stock V8 is in my future...?

If I was doing it, I'd do the wheels and tires first then proceed to springs
later if I wasn't satisfied.

Keep in mind when you lower your car you'll be limited to 235/45 17 tires, I
think 245s will rub. And your more likely to run into alignment issues with
a lowered car.

The combination has major curb appeal though.
