[V8] Airbag light

Mine started doing this after I replaced the alternator. Apparently if
the battery gets disconnected, it will do this until you reset the
airbag computer using a VAG 1551/2 tool.
The connector is located behind the radio and can be done using the
Shadetree (Palm), Ross-Tech (laptop), or dealership ($$$).
Hope that helps,
- Jeremy
BTW, don't get into an accident during that first 2 min, as the airbag
will not go off.

Subject: [V8] Airbag light
I had to rebuild my starter last week. In doing so I disconnected the
battery. After putting everything back together the airbag light now
comes when I start the car. The light goes out after about 2 minutes of
driving.Did I do anything by disconnecting the battery or is this
unrelated? Thanks
George
