[V8] Fuel pump buzzing?

The fuel pump in my V8 has snarled off and on for a couple years. I
replaced it about 50K miles ago, along with a new fuel filter when it
started acting up. Last week it started acting up again - violent
buzzing, acting as if it was cutting out. Put a new pump in - it was
marginally better. Replaced the filter, and it actually got worse.
Talked with Keith, and he confirmed my idea of replacing the fuel
pressure regulator. Took one off the parts bin in the garage (!). All is
now silent...

So if your fuel pump starts really snarling, replace the filter (12.99 -
one hour) and the FPR (60.00 - 10 minutes) FIRST - before you spend
192.00 and go tank diving...
