It is the middle of winter somewhere near Buffalo and it is near 0 degrees. My car has developed an oil smell after i drive it. When i pull into the garage i can smell it. I don't have any visible leaks. Does this have something to do with a clogged oil breather or hoses. My idle is also a little high or seems to stick a little on the high side around 1100 RPM. Other than that the car is running very well thru the Buffalo/Niagara SNOW!
For information on running in this weather, yes it is fun in a Quattro car. I put a set of ContiExtremeContacts on all four wheels. I Found that to be the best compromise of all weather and snow traction. They work fantastic in both deep snow and lightly covered roads. Maybe i'll take some action shots in 1.5 feet of snow we have here. Thanks for all the great info on the page as i am a new V8 owner this year.
