[V8] The V8 List

The way I see it is A8s are V8s without the charisma. Don't get me wrong -- they're super nice cars, but they still have much the same crap that can go wrong, just as any complex machinery does. The V8 really is a unique car that delivers a unique pleasure... a friend finally made the move to an S8 after 12 years of owning a V8, and honestly found himself preferring to drive his V8 more than the S8 in certain situations! Then his rs6 came along and that all went to pot...
But the point is that these things were very, very nice cars when new, and I don't think Audi has equalled that relative level of niceness since. Maybe the RS6, but then there's the tiptronic and all... I may get another V8-powered Audi, but probably never a replacement.
