I listen to AM talk radio most of the time and I am 25 miles out from the city and I get a constent static noise on AM radio. It's very strange, both my 90' & 91' will have a considerable amount of static and if I flip the defroster switch on and off the noise will cut in half. The 92' has the external antenna and AM reception is about normal with very little static.
Also I noticed there was a blue in-line adapter or noise supressor on the 90'on the antenna wire right behind the radio. It doesn't seem to make any difference with in plugged in or if I take it out.
I'm going to try to put a rear external antenna on the 91' to see if it makes a difference.
Has anyone experienced the defroster switch on/off trick???
