I'll briefly try to answer everyone's questions in one message.
No, I'm not a military mechanic. I'm a military electronics technician.
I have nothing against Bosh fuel injection--I just don't know how it works.
Therefore, I don't know how to fix it.
I did not remove the fuel injection system or the computer--I just unplugged
the injectors and went to town with the sawzall, a Holley 650 DP, a tube of
RTV, and a 12 pack or so of beer.
No, I haven't cut a hole in the hood yet. I have not been able to put an
air cleaner on there yet, though. I'm thinking some sort of scoop from JC
Whitney will work.
I used a fuel pressure regulator to take it down to 6 psi. I do know that
45 psi is too much for a carburetor--do you think I'm some kind of idiot?
I don't live in a trailer--it's a dog-gone double-wide, for pete's sake.
And I ain't no redneck, neither.
