The carburetor does the air metering--I don't need that mass air flow stuff
if'n I get this thing sorted out.

OK.  Please tell me how you expect car to run without proper metering (i.e.
Air Mass Flow Sensor on top of manifold)?  And what did you do with the
throttle body at the front of the motor (or is that where you put that 650
Holley DP).  Personally, I would have gone with a 780 with vacuum
secondaries ;-)
