Listers,
My 90 V8 has develeped a problem while comming home
from Lime Rock last weekend about an hour away from
home my batterie light came on my warning display,
stayed on for a bit then went out. This happened the
rest of the way home.
I don't drive the car during the week only the
weekend so today (being the weekend) I went to a car
show in Conn & about 5 minutes into the trip my
batterie light came on again but I have cluster
problems so I just thought it was the cluster acting
up so I continued to Conn about 10 minutes away my
radio stoped working (no sound out the speakers),then
the ABS, air bag & a few other lights came on my
display pannel. Got to were I was going & while
putting the car in reverse the trany made a noise
kinda felt like it lurched backing up then the car
stalled, I went to restart the car & it wouldn't just
clicked.
Went back 15 minutes later & the car started,
so I drove home about 30 minutes away I noticed no
warning lights on the ride home very weired but happy
to make it home thought the alternator was going bad
but like I mentioned no problems on the ride home.
I did notice though that my tranny was in "limp home
mode" all segments of the selector pannel were lite up
definitly only was in 4th didn't feel any shifts, &
the car was sluggish.
I have a RMS leak could this be causing my tranny to
freak out cause of the oil all over the inside of the
tranny?
Well like I mentioned I made it home I let the car
idle in the driveway for a few minutes turned the car
off & went to restart but it wouldn't just clicked
again like the batterie was drained. I went back
outside 1hr later to try & start & it started.
My question is whats going on I've got a few problems
my alternator seems like it's bad,
& my tranny is in limp mode, allso I thought it was
weired that my radio & other stuff started to freak
out any help out there?
Thanks
Ron
