[V8] AC Failure

I've posted twice recently about the same issue with no feedback. I can engage the clutch by applying pressure to the clutch while it's running w/ the AC on (yes, the fan's a-running and the belts a-spinning, so I'm pretty careful).

I've examined the manual, but it doesn't cover the possiblity of servicing while on the car (and saving the R12).

Do the codes go away when you manually engage the clutch?
