I bet Steve has a thing or two to say about windshields...  A leaky
windshield can be ugly with all those relays down in the floor boards:

There are some on the list running K&Ns in their V8s and swear by them.
Mine came with one from the PO, but I removed it and replaced with an
OEM (Mann I think).  The reason for switching back was the problems it
caused with my butterflies not closing all the way (and hence the
throttle switch never seeing a closed throttle).  I opened things up and
it was FILTHY in there.  Now this may have been caused with too much oil
(required) on the K&N, not enough improper care and feeding, etc, but I
got to thinking about how much dirt must have gone through my engine to
have that much *residual* grime in the throttle body...  I didn't notice
a loss of power switching back to OEM.

Some V8 owners have 2 factory antennas; one for the phone and one added
at the dealership to improve AM reception.  Mine just has the cell
antenna and the 2 window jobbies for the radio.  You can add / replace
antennas to suit your need and do away with the window jobbies, but keep
in mind that Bose Blaupunkt radio had 2 inputs and non-standard
connectors.  Adapters are available, or you can just chop the connector
off and add the proper connector from Radio Shack (?).

Well the severely pitted window luckily has a large crack and needs
replacing.  In looking at the manual, the window replacement procedure
looks rather complicated.  Since I've had a few bad installs with some
of the "chain" window companies, was wondering about other people's
experience with new windshields.  I also have a phone cradle/antenna for
my nokia phone and was wondering if anyone knew if I could attach the
antenna to the stereo, and not get the window with the antenna in it.  I
also need to replace the air filter, and was wondering about opinions
about the k&n filter.  Sincerely Tom La Plante
