What goes around comes around.

Promptly on the heels of my ill-advised chip-o-rama offer and hasty 
retraction, the Audi emblem on my treasured Audi key ring fell off the 
chain. This is the cast emblem, four rings, and a tab with a hole in the 
end. So I gently bent the tabs back around the end of the last link in the 
chain, and attempted to put just a dot of solder on it.

The end of the emblem promptly evaporated in a puff of smoke - What is this 
made out of, the fusible links they put in fire sprinkler systems which 
melt at 150 degrees F?

Anyway, I need a new one - seven years on an Audi keychain is pretty good 
(heck, seven years on *ANY* OEM Audi part is pretty good . . . )
