[V8] Hydraulic system trivia - stopping LP leaks

Low pressure side data, measured at the reservoir fitting with my new,
cool 20.00 Harbor Freight 6" digital caliper:
Reservoir to bomb hose ID: 8mm
Rack return hose ID: 10mm
Supply hose ID: 15mm
What happens on the low pressure side is the compression crimps lose
their clamping strength due to hose shrinkage (no rude comments, please)
and start leaking. At the reservoir, the factory cheapo compression hose
clamps can be removed (don't break the reservoir like I did, you'll make
Bruce and Chris real happy selling used reservoirs) and replaced with
worm type hose clamps or FI clamps. For the supply and rack return 'away
from the reservoir ends', the swage clamp can be carefully removed, then
hose clamped with a worm type... I use a pair of diagonal cutters, or
you can use a dremel to remove the fitting.
My latest repair of the pump supply hose: I went to Pirtek to try to get
some new hoses - but they didn't stock metric. While we were discussing
things, the guy took my hose, put it in the swage machine and gave it
another 2mm crimp. Cinched that sucker right back down nice and tight!
Cost: $0.00
