You can get the RPM sensor code if the engine isn't running (BTDT). Try
cranking the engine for 15sec and then pulling the codes (this is what
is suggested if the engine won't run.)
I am not sure why the car would start after pulling and replacing the O2
sensor, but you might want to start there...
What does the car do when you turn the key? If it does nothing, make
sure the AT selector is showing in Park on the dash... Battery full
charge? Have you tried to jump start it?
HTH,
- Jeremy

Howdi folks,
I took the O2 sensor out to take a look. As it was fairly new
(few years
old), I put it back in. Now the car won't start.
What I've done:
1. Pulled the codes - the only code that came out was for G28 - engine
speed sensor. I followed the directions to test this, and it was fine,
and
there is a spark. Apparently, if the ignition or engine speed sensors
are
bad, the car won't start, but I'm not sure what prevents the car from
starting. Anyone know?
2. Performed output tests for the ECU. All results were normal.
3. Tested the fuel pump relay and fuel pump and everything tested ok.
No
shorts, relay works, fuses are ok, etc.
4. Looked at the timing belt (I was afraid maybe it was stripped).
There's
about 35K miles on it.
Does anyone one know exactly where ground connection 87 is? It's listed
as
"Welded, in rear harness". I'm guessing that's somewhere behind the B
pillar, but where???
Thanks,
Arryn
