When I did a vacuum hose refresh last summer, I ran 2 new vacuum lines
over there from the throttle body and put hose clamps on each end.
I believe there is a test that is preformed on this as part of the
instrument cluster test as explained here:

But you may have luck 'talking' to the IC with your new toy.
