 The Rev limiter on PT and ABH engines is very close to 6500 but its not a 
hard limiter so blasting through it in lower gears is quite easy if you're not 
careful.

 Its very unlikely that even doing so on a regular basis is going to hurt the 
engine. I've had the opportunity to carefully examine the bottom end of a 3.6 
and to say it was over engineered would be an understatement. If theres a 
weak link in the engine its probably the rod bolts but these same bolts are used 
in the 3B and AAN with rev limits of 7k.
