The donuts are sealing rings that go between the 2 exhaust pieces. I
have NEVER seen them cracked, and it really woulldn't matter much
anyway... They do have to drop the exhaust to remove the pan - about 3
hours of work. In my opinion, its not worth it. You just drain and
refill with 4 quarts. The 'filter' is just a screen.
