I don't think that will work well to bleed the system on most type 44's.
I have had a few occasions where the non V8 type 44's were driven for a
week or two unbled, and it did not bleed out on it's own. The system
only bled and returned to normal after lifting the front end off the
ground. On the 5KS I've noticed that it bleeds much quicker the higher I
get the front end off the ground. It might have something to do with the
fluid dynamics while the system is "unloaded", which probably moves a
larger quantity of fluid at a higher speed though the system.

That said, it might be possible to bleed the V8Q without lifting the
front end (I've never tried), since the pump and reservoir sit much lower
than lesser type 44's. The fluid reservoir is also much larger on the
V8Q.
