[V8] left distributor isn't lining up

It seems to me that this may very well be the way it is supposed to be ...
remember that there will be a phase difference between the two distributors
because they do not fire at the same time.  My top of the head feeling is
that you would expect to see the left and right distributors to be one half
of the spacing out of phase ... IOW 45 degrees.  If you used the tooling to
ensure the cams were properly timed relative to the crank I would think that
as long as you installed the correct dizzy on the correct bank that
everything should be OK.  If it were incorrect you'd only be running on 4
cylinders.  My suggestion would be to triple check the spark plug wires to
make sure they are correct ...
