[V8] stuck in 3rd gear

You are in limp-home-mode...  Question is 'why'?

Does it clear up after a restarting the car?  Do all of the PNRD321
indicators on the dash light up or do they all go dark?

Best thing to do is pull the codes (very easy to do); instructions can
