This is a rack install issue....At least one and probably both of your tie
rods are installed upside down.
The tie rods are made with a dip in them to clear the dizzy's at full
suspension compression, if they are reinstalled with the dip pointing up they WILL
hit the dizzy caps and shatter them. Its an easy mistake to make and one I made
on the first rack install I did. The reason is because it appears that the
dip is designed to clear the framerail at full suspension extention, its only
after the dizzy's are reinstalled that you can see the real reason for the dip.
The installing shop owes you for the caps and rotors plus the repair cost.
