Lexol, hands down. Vacuum with a brush attachment. Use the cleaner,
then the conditioner. Use a soft paintbrush to gently clean the
stitching and crevices. Yes, you do want to work up a lather when
using the cleaner- get the foam flyin'.
I apply the conditioner by setting the nozzle as fine as possible
and misting the entire leather surface, then spreading it with a
small square of cloth or piece foam. The headrests and seat tops
make take considerable amounts of the conditioner- if it absorbs it,
keep giving it more. The seats will be very sticky for maybe a day
until they fully absorb the conditioner, even if you buff them with a
dry cloth. That's normal and OK; a day or two later they'll be
smooth and dry. Both cleaning and conditioning are best done with
the leather warm, btw. Leave the car parked in the sun or crank up
the heater.
The leather in my car was taken care of pretty well, but I still get
compliments on its condition 6-7 years later.
