[V8] Replacing interior lights

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on how to change
the bulbs illuminating the dashboard vents and the automatic
transmission gear selector in the centre console.

I have already removed the wood trim on the console and replaced the
bulb for the 'SEM' transmission-mode switch, but I can't seem to figure
out how to gain access to the gear selector unit.  I seem to remember
this question being answered a long time ago, but I can't seem to find
it in the archives.
