[V8] Manual tranny needs rebuild

Shane,

I believe German Transaxle is actually in Bend, OR. I called them when
my slushbox died last year, and they didn't sound keen on rebuilding it.
Thanks for the tip RE Forest (albeit too late). :-)

Tom,

I know Erickson Industries (in CT) is closer to you than me and they do
the ZF Autoboxes... Not sure on the 5-spds, though.

HTH,

- Jeremy
Portland, OR

Call

Forrest at
German Transaxle Service
800.892.4327

Only talk to Forrest. His staff says they don't do V8qs. But, they do.
And they do a FINE job.

Shipping both ways and labor was about $900. GTS is in Portland OR.

Also try Bill at Botzon's Automotive. Bill is semi-retired. So he is
not
always in. Tammy or Bud will likely answer the phone. Tell them Shayne
told you to call. Bill specialized in automatics. But has done a host
of
"odd" manual tranny's. If he can't do the tranny he will tell you. He
is
SUPERB at what he does. 509.928.4747. He is also cheap. The last
tranny
he did for me required major work. Charged me $300. He is in Spokane,
WA.
