You folks were so helpful when I had my starter problem that I thought I
would see if there is any interest in my '91 V8 with five speed. I have been
unable to sell either of my Alfas and something's got to go. I purchased the
car (black with travertine/tan sport seats) in July. The owner had the car
for a little over a year and installed a stebro exhaust system (including
cats), euro lights, and a $3,000.00 stereo (sounds fantastic!). He jumped on
a modified S6. He purchased the car from the service manager at Zumbach Audi
in New York. I phoned that chap, who was quite friendly. He told me he knew
the original owner who sold it to him and bought an Allroad. He further
described that the car had the engine replaced at 60K due to excessive oil
consumption and that he sold the car to buy an S8. The car now has 151,000
miles and the only issue I am aware of is high idle. I have purchased an O2
sensor (Ford E 350), but have not had it installed yet. When I purchased the
car, I drove straight to Audi Connection where Bruce and Keith gave it an
excellent review and thorough road test. Keith also installed an IA chip. I
would sell the car for $7,750.00 firm. If interested, let me know. If not,
I'll keep trying to sell Alfas! By the way, I have the window sticker that
lists the sport seats and five speed as no cost options.
