[V8] Creaking from rear suspension - upgrading the suspension
bits?

Hey Bill, I am experiencing something similar with mine. After I park
the V8, set the emergency brake and get out, the rear suspension makes a
CREAK noise (no overweight jokes, please) :-) It has done this ever
since I bought the car 2.5 years ago.
All along, I have assumed that it was the rear break pads / rotors, but
I think you may be right in that it is coming from the suspension
components. I also get a pop or thump from up front on certain driving
conditions.
Has anyone ever gone through the front and rear suspension and replaced
all of the bushings, ball joints, rubber bits, etc? What all is
involved process wise? Anyone have a proper parts list and rough idea
on cost?
You don't have to buy the whole rear trailing arm assemblies or the
front track control arm assemblies, do you? I am assuming you can just
press in new bushings / rubber bits... Is Jeremy dreaming again?
I am assuming this will go a long way towards making my 157k baby feel
new again. I would appreciate comments from those who have noticed a
difference after doing this.
TIA,
- Jeremy

Subject: [V8] Creaking from rear suspension
Hi all,
I seem to recall from somewhere that when the rear suspension creak
going
over bumps or off curbs, the cause is worn rear tie rods. Can anyone
confirm this? Is there a way to test for this?
Thanks in advance.
Bill G.
