I forgot to add as well the only way that the shop was able to get it
off was with the tool I made and it was very stout and took it off. I am
sure without that tool it would have even costed more in labor and
time.... The mechanic that was there used my tool on his impact wrench
and thats how it came off. I came here to ask for help about how to do
some things on the car and if need be I will replace what needs to be
replaced. There are just some things that I did not have direct access
too that I would have had to have. I dont think you got that so I am
explaining that. Please dont think that beacuse I spent 450$ to get this
oil filter off that I am a idiot and could not do anything myself
beacuse that is far from the case. do what you can with what you have
and if all else fails what do you do? I was without a car for a total 6
days and I really needed a car. I live in North Bend and those of you
that know where it is... its a very small town and not fun to walk to
the store and what not when you live on the side of a mountain.
Thanks,
