[V8] Leaking Red Fluid UH-OH

Only red fluid should be the tranny fluid.  To measure tranny fluid if you
have the dipstick, you should have the car thoroughly warmed up (like
driving at highway speeds for 15-20 minutes), sitting level and idling.  If
the garage thinks there should be red fluid in your power steering system,
I'd be looking for some other service place.
