[V8] Leaking Red Fluid UH-OH

... as I recall the T44s have a rack that spans the engine compartment,
bolting down near the strut towers ... seems like a pretty good solution
to me!  I don't know where the firewall flex comment comes from.  The
V8's not only got a strut tower brace, but its also got a titanium brace
under the dash as well as an underbody stiffener.  As I've reported
before, the V8 is the only Audi I own besides the urq where the chassis
is rigid enough that the rear wheel comes off the ground when I'm
jacking up the front.  I can't say I've had much of a problem with
steering feel with the V8 myself ... not that anyone is even attempting
to claim that an Audi full sized sedan was intended for the same purpose
as a Porsche 944.

Let's see, I'm pretty sure both my cars have the original steering racks
... I know I'm not going to bemoan the fact that I have to replace one
in a 14 year old car!  

... and on the 5k turbo, I wouldn't expect it would take me much more
than an hour to do ... the thing comes fairly easily out the right wheel
well.  As I recall the biggest hassle was getting the hydraulic lines
back on the rack with the sealing washers in place ...
