Howdy,,,well I took the car(90 v8) to University Audi in Seattle to have front brakes/rotors done. They sold the rotors for $189/each which made me momentarily forget my fear of dealers. They let the "new kid" (looked 18) do the brakes and he told me "never seen anything like that". Got home and had to pull a wheel off to bend the metal shroud that was rubbing on the rotor, and noticed the brake hoses had cracks on them. The 2 self locking bolts that my service manual says must be replaced weren't. After 1000 mile road trip, the rotors appear to be more warped than the ones they replaced. The car has 77,000 currently and this is the 4th set of rotors/calipers(warranty) in the cars brief time on the road. Question...Is there any other reason that the rotors would repeatedly warp? I noticed that the outer pad was slightly more worn than the inside on the old pads, but they didn't appear to be dragging. If the Disservice desk ever calls me back, and they agree to do something about this, I just wanted to bring up any other issue related to this warping....Sorry that was so long....Sincerely Tom La Plante
