[V8] Fault Code 2341

Okay, Finally had time last night to for a drive with the black (earth?) wire 
disconnected for the o2 sensor. Only drove for 10min, but better performance 
and no smoke. Maybe my imagination, but gearshifts seem smoother, too. Okay, 
looks like I need a new sensor. 

So to my question: if the engine is now running on a default timing/fuelling 
programme, will it hurt it to drive around for a few days as it is (02 sensor 
disconnected) until I can fit the replacement sensor?
