It definitly was a 2-step process, and I treated it as such. I got the V8 in 
last winter and ran the crap out of it all summer without a hitch, so rather 
than keep a good thing going and keep it simple I went ahead with the 
boosted dream :-)

Any questions anyones got I'll be glad to answer. I don't see any reason why 
what I did wouldn't work on the 4.2's as well, either ;).

Yup, and I did everything in that frame of mind. I have no idea how this 
will pan out in the long run yet, so everything I built as a proof of 
concept, and tried to do it as inexpensively as possible, while still trying 
to do it 'right'. As for fitment in a V8 engine bay.... if anyone has a car 
they'd like to get rid of in the name of science I'd be happy to fit some 
manifolds, an intercooler, and let you guys know how it works out :-P
