[V8] Things that go suck in the night...

Dang! I was all tingly with anticipation of how much better the
Gentleman's express was going to run on the way over to the shop to get
the bloody O2 sensor removed. Thoughts of gas milage numbers greater
than 12.0 danced and pirouetted amongst the remaining two or three
neural synapses in my brain, for I had just succeeded in finding and
removing the black wire from the 02 sensor where it connects to
whatever it connects down under the left dizzy...

When I went to start it, it would not start. Not for me the joy of
improved starting, oh noo! Immediate "rhums" or any other starting
noises for that matter, were not to tickle *my* eager ears, no sir!

Plenty of eager starter-spinning noises, sure! All of those noises
that a dedicated V8 lover could ask for in embarrassing abundance! But
in the department of actual indications that ignition of fuel/air
mixture might be occurring somewhere in bowels of the V8 from which my
beloved Gentleman's express gets it model name, there were none. Nada.
  Nichevo. Zip.

location]

Re-attaching the black wire and repeating the attempt to start was
successful. Attempts to understand this were, however. not.
