Subject: [V8] compresion testing
Need your help guys.. I planned on doing a wet/dry compresion test on my v8
this weekend to determan if it was worthwhile rebulding my heads( If rings
are shot, i wont bother with the heads.) Now looking at the manual, it shows
the wear limit at 109 psi and new being between 145-189 psi. well on
cylinder 1 i scored a 205psi dry. what gives? did i mention that this motor
has 204k on it? Further more, the manual states that the cylinders should be
within 43psi of each other.......that contradicts the 10% from the highest
number Iv heard thrown around. Is this a missprint? Does anyone have some
good numbers for me? Thanks
