And I'll agree also. It all depends on your priorities. For maximum 
performance, premium is the way to go. However, on a car that weighs 4000 
lbs, gets driven a minimum of 50,000 per year, and won't touch a nearly 
stock 4kq on the autocross. On a cloverleaf is a different story, of course.

Anyhow, I won't say there isn't a performance advantage to premium. But 
running back and forth 140 miles each day in traffic at 70mph, there is no 
advantage. There is also no potential for damaging the engine. Properly 
maintaining your car (cooling system, tune-ups, etc) had a better long term 
effect on it.
