[V8] Steering rack q's

I recently picked up an el-cheapo '90 V8 that I'm slowly rebuilding for 
daily driver use. Doesn't need that much, but one thing is desperately 
needs is a new steering rack. The current rack has basically no boot 
left, and appears to have been this way for some time, there's tons of 
slop in it, and it's hemorrhaging all over the exhaust as well.

My question: Can a 5ktq rack that I have kicking around be swapped in 
directly, or will I find some oddity in there requiring the later rack? 
I'm not concerned if the current rack is servotronic or not. Just if 
it'll physically work.
