[V8] Steering rack q's

Thanks for all the replies guys, the rack in the car is beyond 
rebuilding IMO. It's not just a torn boot and leaky, theres big bangs 
and crashes when driving, and noticeable slop in the rack with the 
wheels in the air. I'm going to look around and weigh my options to get 
something a bit safer in there...
