[V8] Sudden no start - suggestions?

Well, washed mom's '91 V8 Automatic last night (outside only, thank you) and this morning she says it won't start -- and whadayaknow -- she's right :-(

Motor spins, but not a single even-almost catch.  So I pull the codes and up pops 2111 RPM Sensor (understandable, as it won't start) and 2121 Idle Switch.  Any thoughts?  She ran fine yesterday and I was all set to do the heater core this weekend (presently bypassed).  I put the fuse in the FP relay and no change except with it inserted the whole PRND321 trans display would light up like for limp-home mode.  Will check the plugs tonight -- have the sensor if needed.  I couldn't hear the fuel pump.
