The 200 euros have a lever to "dip" the lights. Probably only affects
the lows. Was the lever in the normal (down) position, or in the dipped
(up) position when you aimed the lights?
I think the highs are supposed to be correct when the lows are aimed
properly.

Subject: [V8] Aiming Eurolights, part two
I was able to aim the low beams on my Eurolights without any problems
- the knobs make things *so* easy. I notice the up and down adjustment
is much more effective than the right to left adjustment.
When I got these lights, I took them apart and cleaned and lubed all the
moving parts, so the adjusters do work properly.
The low beams are very, very good. There's a sharp cutoff at the top,
and you can see WAY down the road. Nice, and far superior to the DOT
joke headlights the car came with (who the heck made these things,
Lucas?).
I don't find any way to aim the high beams - and when I switch them on,
birds fall from the skies with their feathers smoking . . . they are a
little bit high. (Well, duh, that's why they call them high beams,
right?)
I am thinking the way to lower the aim of the high beams is to loosen
the two 8mm head screws under the plastic caps on the radiator
crossmember, slide the tops of the lights a bit forward, which would
tilt the entire headlight assembly slightly downward. Obviously, I'd
have to then re-adjust the low beams, but that's not a big deal. Is this
theory correct, or are the high beam aims preset when the car is
assembled? According to Dan Stern's lighting website, some headlights
cannot be adjusted at all!
Finally, can the fog light under the bumpers be aimed, or am I sawing
sawdust in trying to do this?
Best Regards,
Mike Arman
