[V8] Tuned Exhaust?

Had the rear muffler replaced with straight pipes.  Good sound, no
drone on the highway.  The only thing I'm not thrilled with is a
rapping sound at about 3k rpm with half to wide-open throttle.  Not
sure what that's all about.  Sounds kind of like the same rapping
sound that a 1970 280sl makes as it winds out, but with a deeper
throat.  My center is starting to perforate so it'll likely get
replaced with something non-stock.    Might end up with something very
mild again in the rear to tone things down at that point.
