My 5 spd beast gets a little over 20 mpg during my regular 100 + mile commute.
About 80 miles of that is highway cruising.

What I've noticed is that in the urban portions of the commute, mostly 2 and 3
gear work, I'm lucky to get into the teens with gas mileage. On the highway
portions though under steady cruising at around 75 mph I get well over 20
mpg. If I start pushing it the mileage starts dropping so that when I hit 90
+ mph it's down in the 15 mpg range. Overall though based on gas purchase and
mileage the car does get a little over 20 mpg. The best time of year is
spring and fall, mileage does seem to decrease when the extreme temperatures
hit. I run the tires at 36 psi, gas is always premium 93 octane, and oil is
15w50 synthetic.
