The model was introduced nearly 16 years ago and only a few thousand
imported over a four-year span. Look around any garage. How many
mechanics have been there a dozen years? How many of those were the one
real whiz the dealership selected to attend the special training for these
cars? The guy my local dealership sent for V8 training (happens to be my
brother's ex brother-in-law) is one of only two mechanics with more than 30
years at that company and now is shop foreman. He wears a tie instead of a
grease spot on his shirt and probably puts on his rubber gloves twice a
month.
