My '90 middle muffler is a pair of glasspacks. sounds good, runs clean and was cheaper than chasing down an Audi center muffler. Although at the moment there is a complete factory exhaust system in my storage unit in nice shape from an Arkansas car.

Hey all,
My 91 has blown a hole in the middle muffler..so, any opinions on
replacement?
Does anyone know how much a aftermarket system actually costs? Where to buy?
Are there any other systems other than an Scorpion?
I have a local shop that will bend up a custom one out of aluminized pipe
with mandrel bends for around 250.....but not sure of their muffler mix...though

they did a system on my 5000 turbo that sounded only a little raspier, but
DID help with throttle response (lower back pressure I presume).
Has anyone had experience doing this, and what mufflers did you use?
Dual resonators, and a dual inlet/ single outlet/ dual outlet? Inquiring
minds want to know.
Though I guess, even with a garage and a small heater this will be a cold
job ( I really hate exhausts)....
BTW, replaced my front wheel bearing at a total cost of 75.58 last week, vs.
550 quote from the local stealership (IRA, north of Boston). 55.58 for the
bearing, and 30.00 for the machine shop to press in and out the old and in with
 the new.
Didn't know that there are NO c-clips like the rear to locate the bearing,
just the press fit....
Cheers,
Jack

Happy Festivus to ALL!
