[V8] PRND321 Display problem

I dunno.  Sounds like a contact problem to me as the circuits (which ones?) 
get warm/hot, the display goes haywire.  Eventually nothing is displayed 
:-( ...  Looks like I'll be doing some soldering of the IC at the very least 
and report back...
