I stand corrected.  I don't know why I thought it was a
3-speed.  I was also corrected off-list the the '97 A8
(in the US) was a non-Tiptronic automatic.  But you can
convert it to a Tiptronic with a used Tip shifter from
a newer A8 and some fairly simple wiring.

On the topic of Alfas, the Bertone-bodied GTV of the
early '70s was sweet.  Unreliable, but sweet.
