I missed the note on the 17" wheels ... sorry about that!  My point was
that with the 15" wheels gone your options should be considerably larger
than sticking with an old design with less capability!

I have never heard of a rotor cracking ... it would be interesting to
see pictures.  I would suspect the quality of your replacement parts if
you are getting cracked rotors ... even given your variable climate a
rotor should retain its integrity!

As reported earlier ... I've only replaced one set of rotors due to the
fact that they were worn out ... mileage was around 140K miles ... other
than that all I've had to do is replace the pads when they wore out.
