[V8] Pressure switch power booster???(newbie)

Hi folks
 
I recently purchased a 90V8 on ebay. The seller mentioned that there was a slight leak in the power steering system. He says that he has identified the problem now and that it is the Pressure Switch Power Booster that was broken. It seems that the brake light (dash) would also stay on and that changing the switch will resolve all of these issues. The questions I have are the following:
1. Does this make sense to all you V8/Audi experts?
2. He says that it will be fixed for $175 (including labor) which seems great coz I was afraid that it could be a bigger problem.
3. He replaced the power steering fluid with a 'mineral hydraulic fluid'. Does this sound like the right type of fluid? because I know that the V8 needs special fluids and coolant. Looking forward to hearing from all. Thanks
