Lastnight our customer took us to a brewery / restraunt that has been there since the earth was cooling. After we all ordered ein grosses (big!) Bier, the customer said that we were drawing straws for who is the designated driver... As luck would have it, that honor was mine. :-). At least I got to have one beer...
Mercedes about the size of an A6 avant (was debagged, I am horrible with M model #s) with a 2.0 Kompressor. It was unfortunatly dark, patches of fog, light snow, rain, and hovering arround freezing so under these conditions I stayed arround 100mph for our 50 mile trip. ;-) This was the first time I have had a chance to use GPS Navigation, which I thought was pretty slick, especially in such a DENSLY populated area like Germany. On the way to dinner, the owner of the car was driving under better circumstances than me and we were up to 220kmph on some of the straight away stretches (135mph or so). This was pretty much the limit of this car and my buddy in the backseat for a small video with his digital camera (I will post the file as soon as I am able).
At 100mph, I was rarely passed, and only flashed once (oops, sorry 5 series wagon guy). I did blow the doors off a road salting vehicle... :-). Passing semi trucks at that speed is wierd, their draft has a tendency to grab you a bit.
Well I'm off to work. More from Neckarsulm on Thursday...
Cheers,
- Jeremy
