[V8] Tis The Season - goodbye to my V8.

It's been rather coincidental lately, several V8's have been retired. I'm
sorry for everybody's losses.

December 17th, an on-coming Toyota Rav4 decided to turn across my lane of
traffic, I didn't have much time to react. I hit him squarely just in front
of his rear wheel at about 25mph. My air bag didn't blow, but just about
every color of fluid was on the street. The Rav4 faired pretty well, the
impact was squarely on the sub-frame - I'm sure his alignment was off. No
one was injured (thanks to my V8), I'm getting checked out to make sure
there aren't any severe tweaks to my skeletal frame. Nevertheless, my V8 is
totaled with well over $6000 in front end damage. Once the insurance
settles, do I dare venture down the V8 road again??

The insurance company apparently doesn't use Kelly or Nada, they do their
own local 'market analysis' to determine what their settlement offer is
going to be; sounds like an opportunity to get screwed - any thoughts\ideas?

If anyone wants the info on buying my car for parts, let me know and I'll
pass the info on to you as soon as I get it from the insurance company.
