[V8] V8 stall downhill in gear

You can hear the idle switch 'click' when it makes contact. When mine wasn't closing the contacts by itself, you could push down on the leaver-arm to the 'more closed than at rest' position (down) and then you could hear the click. You can adjust by loosening the 2 philips screws and rotating a little bit, but didn't help in my case; root of the prob was dirty butterflys in the TB and bent cruise control linkage preventing idle switch to see 'closed'.

Is there a standard procedure to check the idle switch operation? I've
got some funky idle issues anyway (car will occasionally hesitate to
start without a little extra cold start juice, and stall when the clutch
is disengaged). You could eat of the TB, and the TPS seems adjusted
correctly..
